What the mayor does

The mayor chairs council, speaks for the town and sits on Simcoe County council. Staff, led by the chief administrative officer (CAO), run the town day to day. Since 2025 the mayor also holds strong mayor powers, including writing the budget.

How to vote

You can vote if you're a Canadian citizen, 18 or older, and you or your spouse own or rent property in Collingwood. Part-time residents qualify.

Online

10 a.m. Thursday, October 8 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 26. Use the credentials in your Voter Information Letter.

In person

Collingwood Public Library, 55 Ste. Marie St. Advance polls October 15 and 22 (4 to 8 p.m.) and October 25 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Election day 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
